Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information MarketBot collects when you use our website, AI assistant, and Telegram bot, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.

When you create an account and use MarketBot, we collect:

• Account details: your email address, display name, phone number, city, and the role and category preferences you pick during onboarding.
• Activity: searches you run, saved searches and automations, listings you watch, bounties and campaigns you join, and messages you send to the AI assistant or Telegram bot.
• Earnings data: bounty and commission ledger entries, and the payout details you provide (such as a Paynow mobile money number).
• Technical basics: session cookies used to keep you signed in, and standard logs used to keep the service secure and working.

We do not collect or store card numbers. Payments and payouts are processed by Paynow, which handles your payment credentials under its own privacy policy.

The listings you see on MarketBot are aggregated from publicly available sources, participating shops, and community submissions. Listing content (titles, prices, photos, seller names as publicly posted) is marketplace data, not information you gave us about yourself.

• To run the service: sign-in, search, saved-search alerts, watchlists, digests, and dashboards.
• To power price intelligence: your searches contribute, in aggregate, to demand signals and pricing analysis. These aggregates do not identify you.
• To pay you: tracking and settling bounty and commission earnings.
• To communicate: transactional email (verification codes, password resets, digests you opted into) and replies through the channels you contact us on.
• To keep MarketBot safe: detecting fraud, abuse, and fake engagement on reward campaigns.

We do not sell your personal information.

• Service providers that host and run MarketBot, such as our database and hosting providers, under contracts that limit what they can do with the data.
• Paynow, when you fund a bounty or receive a payout.
• Telegram, when you choose to use the MarketBot bot there. Your Telegram messages pass through Telegram's platform.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

Your profile is private by default. Where a feature needs to show something about you to others (for example, your display name on a bounty you created), we show only what that feature requires.

Messages you send to the AI assistant are processed by a third-party language model provider to generate responses. Don't include sensitive personal information in chat messages that isn't needed to answer your question.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Ledger records for payments and payouts are kept as long as we need them for accounting and dispute resolution. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal information except where we must keep it for those purposes.

• Update your profile details and preferences in your account settings.
• Unsubscribe from email digests using the link in any digest email.
• Ask us to export or delete your personal information by emailing us.

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong, unique password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
